The Block NZ Winner Builds Volkswagens New Pukekohe Store
Meet Corban Walls of “Special Projects”, one half of Alex and Corban of The Block NZ fame.
Alex and Corban were The Block season three winners back in 2014. You may remember they became fan favourites after sharing their winnings with fellow contestants Ben and Quinn, donating $30,000 to top-up their modest winnings.
With an obvious flair for innovative design and construction, these two have continued to create in new and inspiring ways. Corban spends his time on Special Projects (the name of his bespoke engineering company) and both Alex and Corban run A&C Homestore, a retailer that brings together a selection of fashion, homewares, furniture and gifts.
For Ebbett Volkswagens new store on King Street, Corban and the Ebbett team had to work quickly to get the design & build right in order to meet the opening date of 8 September.
The store is a cleverly designed module system featuring two container sized spaces with a showroom spanning the width between. This elegant design allowed for the unit to be built off-site and transported in.
With space being a premium every detail has been considered in the design of the store from the in-built big screen car selector tool to the merchandise displays and colour & fabric selector walls.
Three Ebbett Volkswagen staff will soon call this home and along with the showroom there will be up to 30 cars on-site. Customers will also enjoy access to the full Ebbett VW stock range through the in-store digital experience, where each vehicle (new and used) can be viewed in full 360 degrees.
When asked about the project Corban said
“I hope everyone in Pukekohe likes what we’ve done for the Ebbett Volkswagen store. It was a great project to work on with fantastic support from the whole Ebbett team and I can’t wait to see if full of customers!”
Ebbett Volkswagen opens at 257 King Street, Pukekohe on 8th September.
